Soccer basically is a team sport which can be played between two teams each comprising of eleven players. Considering the amount of popularity this game enjoys among the masses worldwide, it will not be an exaggeration to say that it is one of the most preferred games in the category of outdoor sport. The main objective of the game is to score as many goals as possible by throwing the ball into the opponent’s goal while the opponent team members try their best to stop them from scoring a goal. The team which is able to score maximum number of goals is the one who is declared a winner. In case of a tie, where both the teams are able to score the same number of goals, the game goes into extra time or penalty shootout.
Though the game of soccer is immensely popular nowadays, it had been on the block since a long time in the history. The earliest known evidences of people playing soccer, better known as football date back to 2nd or 3rd century B.C. Throughout the history, various forms of this play have been noticed to exist, which were played in different parts of the world. However, soccer came to be known as the only sport which was recognized worldwide, with a separate body formed to govern the game and its rules. The game of soccer is greatly inspired from the rules which were being applied during the mid-19th century i.e. the Cambridge Rules which were prescribed by the Cambridge University.
IFAB was first established in 1886. It was only after several small football organizations from all over the world came together that the international body came into existence. Soccer is a game which draws attention from all over the world regarding the competitions which are played between different countries. Some of the most famous world championships are the World Cup which is organized by FIFA every four years. The popularity of FIFA is incomparable. During the soccer world cup, a total of 190 countries from all over the world participate and complete with each other in order to qualify for the finals.
The most recent FIFA World cup was held in 2006 in Germany while the next world cup is decided to take place at South Africa in 2010. Even in the summer Olympic Games, a number of football tournaments were held which simply add on to present the level of popularity soccer enjoys. It is a wonderful sport of soccer. this sport is know all around the world by the name of soccer. the interesting part of soccer is that the players tries to score goals all by himself that is by his own tricks… its not like cricket that one has to hit the ball with the bat and run. for this kind of sports a lot of strength and skills are needed..

I played soccer in jr. high school and really
